I occasionally use the 'wet' method for cleaning off stubborn marks
that seem to 'weld' themselves to the sensor. What I was referring to
earlier using the Sensor Sweep was a dry method to remove loose
pieces of dust. Depending on the nature of the dust particles on your
sensor you may need either. Some people do not like getting any
liquid cleaner near their sensor.
And don't forget, you are not actually cleaning the sensor. There is
a glass filter over the front of the sensor which is what you are
actually cleaning.
