Message: Dear Sir/Madam
I hope you can help me.
We have places remaining on our course in Advanced Camera Techniques,
which starts this weekend. As many photographers come to DFG for training
in documentary filmmaking, I wonder if you might be able to circulate the
following information to your members?
Calling aspiring documentary camera people!
16 - 17 June 2007, London
Hone your digital video camera and lighting techniques on DFGâs
Advanced Camera Techniques course, taking place this weekend.
Photographers know that camera and lighting techniques have a massive
effect on the final impact of a shot - but how does this work with live
action filmmaking?
Master the art of shooting and lighting your documentaries professionally,
with broadcast Director of Photography and experienced tutor, Belinda
Parsons. Taught on Sony Z-1 HDV cameras, you will get to grips with
documentary styles, and explore different styles of lighting particularly
for interviews. Through a series of exercises in DFG\'s dedicated studio
and, weather permitting, outdoors, you will also learn how to deal with
different lighting conditions, problem locations, how to create a
customised âlookâ for your film, when and how to use filters, matte
boxes, dollys and much more.
The Documentary Filmmakers Group is the UK\'s leading provider of
documentary-specific training, and the national organisation working to
promote documentary filmmaking talent and innovation.
To book a place on this course telephone 020 7249 6600 or email

Any help that you can give us with this would be very much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Jenny
