To Whom It May Concern,
The New York Institute of Photography, is hosting a photo contest,
which may be of interest to the members of your Camera Club ? entry to
the contest is free. To celebrate the diversity of our students and to
connect the burgs and boroughs of the globe, we are hosting an
international photo contest to celebrate everyone's hometown.
In case you aren?t familiar with NYIP, here?s a quick summary:
Located in New York City, NYIP is a highly respected distance
education school for serious photography students. Established in 1910,
NYIP is the premier provider of distance learning in photography,
educating more than 20,000 students in the US and more than 150
countries worldwide at any given time.
Our Courses in Professional Photography
<http://www.nyip.com/courses/dp/>, Digital Photography: Photoshop for
Photographers <http://www.nyip.com/courses/dg/> and Fundamentals of
Digital Photography <http://www.nyip.com/courses/ds/> combine the
convenience of at-home study with state-of-the-art training from
professional photographers.
This photo contest, NYIP FOCUS: PHOTOGRAPH YOUR HOMETOWN will feature
world-class photography from amateur and emerging photographers in the
following categories:
1. Pets & Wildlife
2. Main Street
3. Local Music
4. Faces In The Crowd
The grand-prize winner category, first prize winners and runner-ups will
be exhibited in a marvelous Midtown Manhattan location, where they will
be viewed by thousands of some of the most prominent and influential
people in this town. We'll be announcing the full details on our
website soon.
The grand prize winner will also receive an all expenses paid 5-day trip
to New York City. The winner will be shown "our hometown", taking part
in a personalized photo tour that includes photo opportunities in New
York City.
In our ever-changing world, society has become more and more fragmented
which makes clubs like yours more important than ever. We believe that
this competition will be of interest to your club members and would be
delighted to send you some further information on both the competition
and the courses at NYIP. Some of the best, most innovative, photography
we?ve seen comes out of camera clubs, which is why we?re reaching out to
you and your members.
If you are interested in receiving some more information please reply
with your mailing address. I can also supply details to you via email,
so please advise if you would rather not receive any further information
from us.
Once again, thank you for taking the time to read this mail. We at NYIP
look forward to receiving entries from the members of your camera club
and would like to take this opportunity to wish each entrant success in
the competition.
Kindest regards
Aisling Dolan
